Convened by the Lab, the landmark series connects international researchers and artists to present evidence on the value of the arts in clinical and public health.

This project seeks to articulate how engaging in the arts can mitigate the health impacts of climate change, communicate about these impacts, and promote adaptive capacity through adaptive behaviours or interventions that address the health risks posed by climate change.

The Jameel Arts & Health Lab Global Health Fellowship is a three-year fellowship that is supported by the Lab in collaboration with University College London. The fellowship is awarded to one post-doctoral researcher to further research and expand population-level work on arts and health to include individuals from global ethnic majorities, Global South populations, and low and middle-income countries. 

This study is the first to use neuroimaging to investigate the neural effects of dance-based interventions on people with Parkinson’s Disease, building on growing evidence that such programs improve motor and cognitive function, and employing a well-powered design with a walking control group.

A landmark series focused on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs). Bringing together 26 researchers from institutions around the world to present evidence on the value of the arts in clinical and public health.

This project explores how therapeutic arts, photography, and participant-led cultural archiving can support mental health, cultural resilience, and agency among survivors in post-conflict settings.
