The Lab hosted a panel discussion at SXSW London, bringing together rigorous scientific evidence with artistic intuition to explore both the opportunity and the tension in proposing the arts as essential infrastructure for healthier societies, including Prof. Daisy Fancourt, Ren Gill, Lakwena Maciver, Cedar Lewisohn, and Stephen Stapleton.

Healing Arts Birmingham is a city-wide initiative co-led by Birmingham City Council, demonstrating how arts, culture, and heritage can transform health, wellbeing, and social equity across the midlands.

Healing Arts Scotland is a bi-annual celebration of the role of the arts to improve health and wellbeing. Launched in partnership with Scottish Ballet in 2024, and co-produced by a national coalition of organisations bridging culture, healthcare, education and policy, the initiative is designed to embed the arts into public health and community well-being across Scotland.
