Dr. Anita Jensen is an Associate Professor and a member of the Social Medicine and Health Policy research group at the Department of Clinical Science and the Centre for Primary Health Care, Lund University and an Arts and Health strategist at Region Skåne, Sweden. She also holds the position of Associate Professor at Nord University in Norway. In addition, Dr. Jensen serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Nordic Journal of Arts, Culture and Health.
She has an extensive publication portfolio, including books, book chapters, peer-reviewed articles, and reports exploring the health and wellbeing benefits of engagement in arts and culture. She has led the development of several educational courses in arts and health, in addition to actively teaching in the field. Her research spans the Nordic region, with a focus on the psychosocial impact of Arts on Prescription programs, population-level studies, and the development and implementation of regional arts and health strategies as well as scaling up from research to implementation. Dr. Jensen is actively involved in international collaborations.
