The research group explores the links between social capital and health, examining self-rated health, mental health, health behaviours, suicide ideation/plans, and mortality by sexual identity using public health survey data. As well as investigating Sweden’s COVID-19 strategy through social science and social capital lenses. In the interdisciplinary Arts and Health field, the group investigates how participation in arts and culture affects health and wellbeing at both individual and population levels. Using diverse research methods, studies assess the impact of arts engagement on outcomes such as self-reported health, wellbeing, mortality, cancer, cardiovascular disease, and social and psychological wellbeing.
