Yaashna Sharma is the Research Coordinator for the Jameel Arts & Health Lab. Her role is to oversee the lab’s daily operations while fostering interdisciplinary collaboration between arts in health researchers and practitioners. Along with coordinating the research and administrative processes of the lab, Yaashna also assists with the upkeep of lab communications, contributing to the accessibility of the lab’s research and resources.

Yaashna holds an MPH with a focus in Social and Behavioral Health, is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), and earned her BA in Neuroscience. Her interests lie in the intersection of the arts and behavior, and the encouragement of holistic first-line approaches to public health issues.

Outside the lab, Yaashna serves as a public health consultant for Life Center Stage LLC, a New Jersey based arts non-profit that offers visual and performing arts programs to promote community wellness and substance abuse prevention. She is also a 200 RYT, and enjoys painting, attending live music shows, and traveling in her free time.
