Rhys Boyer is the Strategy & Development Principal Lead at the Jameel Arts & Health Lab, where he leads the development of global programmes, projects and partnerships that advance the role of art as a health behaviour across public, private and philanthropic sectors.
Before joining the Lab, Rhys led major public health programmes in government, establishing new areas of work and spearheading policy initiatives addressing urban health, the built and natural environment, spatial deprivation and planning and sustainability. His passion focuses on applying public health thinking across sectors, connecting evidence to policy and impact that improves population wellbeing and reduces inequalities.
Rhys holds a PhD exploring the public health value and long-term impact of major capital investment in place, an MSc in Public Health, a BSc in Sport & Exercise Science and is a qualified UKPHR and PRINCE2 Practitioner.
