Since 2015, the AgeTeQ Lab at the Research center of Montreal University geriatrics institute (CRIUGM - Montreal, Quebec, Canada) has been studying the relationship (type, benefits, challenges and issues) between the arts and health (mental, physical, social) in order to implement initiatives and measures aimed at individuals, population groups and institutions working with the public. More specifically, all the laboratory's activities use the artwork-individual relationship as a medium of study to improve the mental, physical and social health of people (sick and healthy alike), by triggering positive emotions and a sense of well-being, thus creating the possibility of improved well-being.
